Hot Material and the SDS — Toolbox Talk

A 7-minute talk a crew leader can give at the melter before the first pour: find the SDS, name the hazards, check the PPE, and rehearse the burn first-aid steps.

You will be able to

  • Show the crew where the SDS for today's products is.
  • Name the hazards in SDS Section 2 for the sealant and sealer in use.
  • Check every crew member's PPE against SDS Section 8 and the data sheet.
  • Rehearse the hot sealant burn first-aid steps.
