49 CFR 396.11 Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

The federal rule requiring drivers of commercial motor vehicles to report vehicle defects at the end of the day, with the list of items that must be covered such as brakes, lights, tires, and coupling devices. It is a good model for a daily truck and trailer walk-around even where the rule does not strictly apply. Owners can use it to build an inspection form.
