The 11th Edition MUTCD (with Revision 1, effective March 5, 2026 per the FHWA page), including Part 3 (markings) and Part 6 (temporary traffic control), as free PDFs; FHWA does not print copies. States must adopt the national MUTCD or a substantially conforming state supplement.
Why it matters for pavement contractors
Pavement marking technicians and anyone setting up temporary traffic control rely on Parts 3 and 6. This is the authority behind ATSSA training and most DOT specifications.
